exploring our new home

After spending the majority of the morning/afternoon dealing with the DMV, working, and finding out how much silly paperwork is needed to change our registration, we decided to spend some time on our last day off to explore our new home state.

First up was the Vermont Pub and Brewery. We had read about this place but never went because of it's proximity to our favorite place on earth, American Flatbread. I'm glad we tried it because it's kind of awesome. I had a great ESB and Evan got a saison followed by an awesome Irish ale. (ESB and saison pictured below)

Then we made our way to the cannery of the Alchemist. The actual brewpub was destroyed by hurricane Irene and is under reconstruction until 2012. Luckily, their cannery is located far enough away that it's still operational. We tried some Headdy Topper on tap then brought some cans home for future enjoyment. (brewery also pictured below)

And we topped it off with none other than a visit to the Ben and Jerry's Factory just down the road. As you can see, Evan was super pumped about this stop off so we made it brief.

All in all it was a great day. Now its time to start the adventures of working from home...
