So this weekend we decided to drive to New Hampshire to visit the closest LLBean store. The plan was to stock up on lifetime guaranteed warm stuff, but we also found a nearby brewery. As usual, we had a more successful visit to the brewery than the store. I did however manage to convince my loving husband to get matching furry hats (see below).
Side note: after finding the hats less than 50% cheaper online my husband has now vowed never to shop at LLBean again.
With hats in tow we visited the 7 Barrel brewery. I'm sure there's some sort of story behind why we went and what makes them special, but I just do what I'm told and don't ask questions. If there's beer at the end of my rainbow I'll do pretty much anything.
The beer was really good, so was the food and the people who worked there all seemed really nice, witty and smart. All in all, a win in my book. Here's a look at some of the beers we had. The RIP stout from their Conan the Destroyer series was by far the best, but the Autumn seasonal on cask won points in my book as well. Unfortunately they don't bottle and their beer is only available on site or in growlers, but it's worth the trip if you're going. Definitely more worth it than the Bean...
